For What You Stand

By alesana

Comedic desolation -

You’re pleading to be free.

Hide all you have inside;

Let no one ever see.

You’re on your own, you’re desperate.

You cannot see the light.

Truth is you have to stand,

And run into the fight.

Though they release their flaming arrows,

Though their words may pierce your soul,

Stand up for what you believe

Even when you stand alone.

    DA said it best - this was great and strongly said, thanks A. You've come a long ways in the last few months.

    This is awesome, good job. I really like it when poetry says something important and has such great rhythm as well. It makes it all the more memorable.
