It wasn't you

By letitbe

Break your back against the stone
Making sure everybody knows,
They see your pain, they hear your cries
But they could care less if you lived or died.
You broke your faith on all of us around
And focused it on a soul not found.
You said your goodbyes when they refused
To feed that ego you hold dear.
You claimed she didn't know love, she did.
She knew love, it just wasn't you.

This is actually very good. I love the way it flows, I just wish it were longer, because I could read with that beat for a bit longer. Good job.
