Credit To Neo
By AdorkablePsycho
So for as much trouble as my son Neo, who is 7 y/o now, can get into at school he can also do very well. Here is an example of such behavior. He has the same teacher this year for 2nd grade as he did last year for 1st. Apparently last year he wrote a poem and just brought it home to me yesterday because it seems that his teacher has been holding on to and displaying it. I thought I would share his wonderful poem which please keep in mind that it was written by Neo when he was 6 years old.
A Seasons Change
Come said the wind to the leaves one day.
Come over the meadow and we will play.
Put on your dresses of red and gold.
For Summer is gone and the days grow cold.

I have to admit that from time to time I tend to question my ability to be a good mother and teacher to my son and I also wonder sometimes about the school system here but I have to admit, as simple of a poem as it may seem to some, that I do believe that the school and myself are doing exactly what we should be when it comes to him. He is becoming a very creative young man and I am willing to give the school credit but only 15% as I am a poet and he definitely gets it from me. Neo makes me angry sometimes but it's moments like this that make it all worth the while. I love you Neo!

Thank you from us both. I am so proud of him and have decided to work with him more to see if we can broaden his skill. *Darkest Wishes and Blessed Be*
