Life

By Invisibledarkness

Another pain of loss,
Another heart crushed to a fine powder.
New hurt,
Brought by an age old curse.
The loss of one loved,
The loss of one held dear.
I wish I coud've prevented it,
To turn over your hourglass and start anew.
But alass that is like trying to drain an ocean,
Or change the course of the stars.
It's simply a force of nature,
With a futile attempt at change.
Sorrow and pain dwell with this curse,
The curse of loss.
As we whither up and waste away,
We simply wait,
Oblivious to when our time will come.
So life should be used to live,
Instead of just being alive.
Even though the curse will take hold,
We can take advantage of the life we are given.
By being more than others allow.
By being...
All and more than we could hope to be.
