My Child

By silentnomore

As awkward as it is,
I sit and watch you cry,
To see the pain creep out,
that you bury deep inside.

Hard as stone,
You quietly keep,
Relax my child,
Let thee sleep.

The boulder you carry,
Will one day disappear,
Listen my child,
No longer shall you bare.

The weight of the world,
You carry on your back,
Speak my child,
The truth is what you lack.

Interesting; sounds like baby Atlas (kidding) - thanks for sharing this bit of introspection, nice.
