How Come You Have Brung Me Here?

By silentnomore

I sometimes wonder,
Who you are,
For i can no longer see,
Your face in this dark.

You stand there alone,
Wandering when someone would come,
I think I can help you,
The dark is where I'm from.

You have placed yourself there,
As you have placed me here,
I am now wondering,
Where have you been all these years.

You have turned the light off,
And now you cannot find the switch,
You need the generator,
For there has been a glitch.

This is quite asexual but nevertheless speaks to a Silence of the Lambs mentality - somebody should definitely run away (just not sure who?) Maybe both of you...

Think this poem is probably written from a male standpoint (usually I can tell but girls and generators usually don't mix). Uncertainty in the nature of this poem as to love, or lonliness - nevertheless quite nice and hope this helps, thanks.
