Distinctly Forgotten

By Virgils Vigil

Warped flesh

Imitates the soul

While it fills it’s space

And we drift

to another place

Alone or together

Fragments to remember

Shattered memories like

Ashes from trees or

A murmured lullaby

and all the times we

tried to die

But can’t remember why.

This is all I recall.
