Acquiesce ad Mortem
By alesana
Slipping
off the edge of my own mind
Falling
through endless
chilly air
Impact
as my body hits the river
Terror
when the current pulls me down
Water
burns my throat as I
shriek for help
Slowly
I feel my body sink so low
Light
far above the surface
Colours
of plants and life below
Surreal
as Acionna drags me down
Submission
as my instincts
gasps for breath
Choking
as sand and aqua fill my lungs
Convulsing
impending death takes over me
Acceptance
it
will all be over soon
Peace
as darkness numbs my mind.
