Good dog

By kenneth

Soon darkness will fall
You need not be afraid
I shall save us all
With the weapons I’ve made

There is no monster or beast
Greater or more fearsome than I
On their flesh I will feast
Ill protect you till I die

Darkness falls now over me
You need not be afraid
Can you still see the good in me
Ill save us with the weapons I’ve made

There is no monster or beast
Greater or more fearsome than I
On their flesh I must feast
I will protect you till I die

Darkness shrouds me even in the light
You need not be afraid
You are my single ray of light
Ill save you with the weapons I’ve made

There is no monster or beast
Greater or more fearsome than I
On our enemies flesh I must feast
Ill kill again and again till I die

The light rises as I hear the roosters call
You no longer need to be afraid
I have saved you all
With the weapons I’ve made

There is no monster or beast
Weaker or more afraid than I
On their flesh I don’t want to feast
But I must or I will die

Interesting turnabout in the last verse, when the truth finally comes out.
