Desire

By kenneth

I am searching for something
But what it is I don’t know
Constantly I am running
Thinking I can catch it though

This is something I must find
But I realy don’t know why
I can almost see it in my mind
As I gaze up toured the sky

A long time I’ve searched it seems
For what it is that I desire
I can almost see it in my dreams
My wanting burns like fire

Still I must keep on searching
For reasons I don’t quite know
Constantly I am running
I think that I can catch it though

Whatever this is I have to find
I begin to think and ask myself why
I know that I’m losing my mind
Will I get what I desire before I die

I’ve been searching forever it seems
I can still feel the heat of the fire
But I can no longer recall my dreams
And I can no longer recall my desire

Maybe you've found it - not the destination but the journey?
