Two Elements

By Invisibledarkness

Fire and ice,
Two different elements,
Both destructive,
But at the same time both support life,
My heart incased in ice,
My eyes a blazing ember,
Passions of hurt that,
In a way radiate through my body.
They keep my heart beating slowly,
And my eyes bright to the truth in lies.
Fire and ice are said to one day destroy the world.
Why do they keep me alive?
Is it so I'm comforted by their embrace,
But that they will be my ultimate downfall?
The answer to this is currently oblivious to me,
But in the end I'll know the answer.
So.
For today they keep me alive,
But tomorrow...
That could change...
