Make Me Die

By Huey Lewis

I'm a heart attack waiting for the confusion
Of another lie and another illusion
Standing on the bridge to your freedom and peace
I'm gonna break it down until you fall to your knees

Gotta confess I like you more than the rest
I like it when you try and you're doing your best, but

Heavy hitting hands breaking holes in your plans and
Falling through the roof. Right? Where do you stand?
Can you get close to the thing you want most?
I'm waiting for you here but I'm bettin' you joke

Gotta confess I like you more than the rest
I like it when you try and you're doing your best, but

If I fall right from the sky
Will it make me die?
If I go right off the tracks
Will I ever come back?
If I fall right from the sky
Will it make me....
Die.

Heavy in your feet and I'm like a disease
I like it when you turn and beg to me "Please?"
Swallow your pride, take a look to the sky
Any. Thing. You. See. Was. Made. To be. Mine.

Gotta confess I like you more than the rest
I like it when you try and you're doing your best, but

If I fall right from the sky
Will it make me die?
If I go right off the tracks
Will I ever come back?
If I fall right from the sky
Will it make me....
Die?
