Red, Red Wine

By TakeMeAsIAm

Red
red wine.

Spilling
down her chest.

Trickling
from the chasm
where her heart used to rest

Cascading liqour
to sober her up
and dampen the stars in her eyes.

When love is done
all that's left
is a crimson mess.

Bittersweet, brief and beautiful. Congrats on the POTD.

Well conceived little piece here.... and yet, I wonder if you know the song... some Marley anyone? I wonder if another word could be tossed in there to carry the stars theme... just an afterthought... thanks for sharing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GMD9DvztVs
