Silent Love

By Noztic

How can we sit here and talk,
Like nothing ever happened?
The love never left to take a walk,
And I do not want this conversation to end.

I will stand idle to talk to you,
To watch you grow and live happily.
I question if you feel the same too,
But I will never act upon my impulse suddenly.

I smile to hide the urges I have inside,
I want to reach out and hold you once more.
But all these feelings I do my best to hide,
My heart is beating hard with the broken sore.

How long can I hold back my own heart from within,
These voices in my head screaming to tell you.
I am too scared that I will make you hurt again,
But at the same time I would do anything to start anew.

But I will stay here to support and care,
Whenever you need someone for anything.
Just call out for me and I will be there,
Smiling and holding you but hiding.
