No Blanket

By DarkPaladine

They found her body all stiff and cold as she lay
there on the ground covered only in snow.
They found the rock under her head, and from the
red snow they knew she was dead.
She looked like an angle there in the snow an
there in a pile were her torn up clothes.
Someone had killed her it was plain as could be
for they found her boy friend in the nude hanging
from the tree.
They could tell it was murder left for all to see
for the rope around his neck was tied to his hands
and his feet.
There was no way he could have tied the rope to
himself, he was four feet in the air and there was
no chair or high shelf.
The girl on the ground looked like she was asleep
for she was tied like an anchor to the rope that hung
from his feet.
They found the note that was nailed to his head this
would'nt have happened they wouldn't be dead. All
they really had to do was to share their blanket with
me too.
But they sat there and they lied to me and said there
was not enough blanket for all three. So I told them I
did not like their joke, so I tied them up with my rope.
I hung the boy up in the tree stripped him down and
watched him choke and freeze.
The girl I was going to let go, but she tripped on the
rope and hit her head on  a rock in the snow.  So now
that they are now both dead I will take the boys
clothes and use the blanket to warm my bed.
Yes they looked for clues all around but the killer was gone and no blanket was ever found.

This is crazy... it flows nicely and sounds like something taken right out of a newspaper and put to verse. I do hope this did not happen to a friend or someone you knew but know this was very much worth the read. - Adam Scholar
