A Broken Man

By SeekingNirvana

look unto me
I am but a man
tattered rags are my clothes
I've seen things in my time

hatered and compassion
I know too well the two
I may look like a homeless man
but my wisdom is what you seek
for I've seen things in my time

ask me what troubles you
an answer I shall give
my divine kindness I shed unto you
I've seen things in my time

you meerly ignore me
I do not seek a friend
tell me I'm a wise man
as you toss me some change
but know that you're young
I've seen things in my time

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!! Possibly one of the most stirring, brilliant (this is getting repetitive, I know), amazing poems I’ve seen on this site.
