Far and Few Between

By Aragon

The never ending lingering light that you radiate
Blinds me with anticipation
The very breath I take is unyielding; waiting for the acceptance to hold you again
You see my faults as something to conquer
Not to be defeated by
Your nature is to nurture the scared soul
You give what you want…not what is longing
Not because you have too, but want too
For that…you are far and few between
Your deep mesmerizing eyes, seductive kisses, warm loving nature is my security blanket
You always find a way to inspire my disheveled feelings
Without your presence… I am lost
Yet you continue to show the way with no despair
Inanimate memories obscured your vision of what you deserve
Your smile is no longer obsolete
When the days fall to nights
Silent wishes are gathered in the sky
Listening to these whispers, will only guide you in the right direction
Follow them….your mislaid smile will return
Always keep in mind… Everything is you and you are everything
For that…you are far and few between
