Release Me

By SoPrecious

You keep gripping me, holding me tight

I'm losing strength in this never ending fight

this hold you have on me, I can't describe

I try to slip away, but always give into your bribe

toying with my mind, heart, and emotions

your words hit me hard like waves in the ocean

time around us is going so slow

you've already won - just please let me go

this is hell and now i am bound

maybe some day my chains

will be found

Losing yourself in a never ending battle against self, but... Only because no one ever built you up the way you needed. This is a struggle that not many people can relate to, and I am so very glad I'm not alone. Described perfectly. Applauds- Scholar

When I was younger I used to believe that we where our philosophers and carried our heaven and hell. I believe that all chains where made by us and we locked them with our emotions and our thought patterns. I never liked or prescribed to giving some one else any power over me. Now I am older I'm not so sure.
