Foolish love

By forgoten_wolf

a broken heart never heals to be the same
a broken promise unrepairable
a broken trust
the scars will remain
forever
a strong bond she feels as he holds her hand
her heart jumps as he kisses her
she smiles as he looks at her
she spills her heart
a mistake crying on his shoulder
no comfort there
he keeps his secrets to himself
her eyes glittered when he said three little words
to him they didn't mean much
she wastes her time thinking of him
drowning in the sea of his lies
she rubs her eyes confused
she sees with new eyes
him touching this stranger
as he kissed her soft lips
she hears with new ears
him say three little words
to him they meant nothing
she feels with a new sense
blood pulsing on old scars
from a dark past
she smells with a new nose
his stench of a putrid odor
lies sweating through everyone of his pores
she tastes with a new tongue
anger against her infuriating buds
she thinks about what she has told him
all those beautiful words he had said
and what they truly meant
only so much she could handle
it was too much
she believed it
she had
she was foolish
she was
once was
once
now he regrets what he has done
for every time he has broken a heart
for every time her had been shattered
tears streak down his cold cheeks
where the dimples she loved no longer showed
for in that vast ocean of lies
there was one truth
there was
three little words
that meant more than what he thought
more than what she knew
he was foolish
a broken heart never heals to be the same
a broken promise unrepairable
a broken trust
the scars remained
three little words
will never again mean anything
in his ocean
of broken hearts
he has polluted
with the oil spill of
tall tales and untruths
he was very foolish
though smart enough to live on
but with a pain full of loneliness
that remained
forever
his broken heart
