Mother Natures Lullaby

By forgoten_wolf

one somber late summers night fall
all the little ones are put to bed
the crickets put down their violins
the last of the full moons light recedes
the owls question is astray
the chimes dance to the winds rhythm
the midnight creatures scamper to their homes
the loose leaves embrace through the breeze
the dogs howling is desist
as the night becomes yet darker
flashing bolts irradiate the ink-like sky
tranquil rain pummels adjacent to the dormer
clouds rumble a delectable song
on a somber late summers night
all the children are oblivious to the world
