Soul Screaming

Standing on the edge, His eyes are filled with
the torrential epiphany of false inclinations
Hollow,

they speak out in frigid incapacitation
and his skin is like stretched leather,

the binding too tight,

scraping against fragile bones and
pulsing veins
His chest quickens,

like a startled serpent as he inhales with a spine cringing

whoosh
And you see the raw fear, like a rabbit
in the jaws of a vicious coyote
Some thing is chewing on his heart
as he coughs up the bile of his own decaying
flesh

He rasps and shutters, Inclining his neck for the
long drawl of soul emptying oblivion

And like a mangy, tattered and hungry wolf
He howls with intense anguish, the sorrow flows
out with accumulating horror

He bares his being on the dust of empty trails
Tomorrows racing past as the smoke rolls
and he feels the flames on his neck
like satan's beckoning call

He wails, Like a thousand hearts ache and pulse

in a perfect resonance
The trees break and crumble

as those hollow eyes
open wider and wider,

the O of his mouth accentuates

..and the Scream pervades...

this painted a nice portrait of fear and despair. very vivid

  • A former member wrote: forever haunting, the imagery frighteningly precise... a scene of true apocalyptic proportions.
