every turn takes me deeper
leads
me further away
within myself
bound by hate
it's easier
to except the pain
pull it close
this love of thorns
chains of betrayal drag
only so far
from the walls
am i allowed to stray
to touch a peace
that was my soul
a serenity no longer known
i will fade
back within
to fight the demons alone
