Goodbye Doctor...

By Eric

You were there.
To save the earth that Christmas morn.
You were there.
When the fires of the sun reached out to burn.
You were there.
When they came again and again.
You said no to extermination.
And when the Master called in eternal mocking.
You answered.
You stood at the edge of darkness.
And pulled back the oblivion that awaited us all.

When the stars went out.
When the enslaved were most desperate.
You were there.
You lonely traveler.
You were always there.
To save us.
To save life.

Thankless
You went into the night.

You will NEVER be forgotten.
Doctor, My Doctor.

Allons-y! Forever.

This seems like a very personal tribute to someone close to you. Sometimes the biggest acts of kindness go unnoticed but this seems a wonderful tribute. Nicely done :)
