I will love him...

I will love him with all my heart
until it stops beating.

He puts me on a pedistal, he says.
Well, I will pull him onto the pedistal
with me and show him we are equals
and he means the world to me.

I will make this my goal in life:
to prove to him
and everyone else for that matter
that I am capable of the emotion of love
something that has been twisted
diluted in my lifetime.

I will show to him that he is
the reason I wake in the morning
the reason I dream at night.
I will prove this not by my sayings alone
but by my actions.
Words are pretty and eloquent;
actions are aweinspiring and believable.

I will prove to the world that I love him
and he is mine
through sheer caring and love
and respect.

Until the day that I die
he will be the first thought in my mind
when I wake up
and the last thing I think about
when I fall asleep.
Consequently, he will be the subject
of my dreams
and the reason I write this.
