Transcend

By Electra Woman

I hate this word....this hippy, Feng Shui, detoxification,
bullshit word.

I never thought about this word until the day
you formally introduced me to it.

"Love transends all..." you quoted, from her
fowl lips leaving her filth all over my body.

I will never transcend to that kind of love.
I figured out the magic trick a long time ago.
A slight of the hand to the untrained eye....no cute
bunnies or endless scarves.

The sawing in half.....that is real.
I still feel the pressure of your blade cutting me in
half.....but then again, I was never whole to begin with.

You both have transended to wherever the fuck that road leads to.

My road leads to familiar signs.
No Detour.
No thru way street.
Dead End.

I know...I know....get over it already.
But it's such a comfortable fit...perfect for imaginary
walks on the beach.

Well I've heard some words that come across like a coarse wood file but, this puts a whole new spin on the term, "go to hell and slowly digest in a vat of demon bile for the rest of eternity." I think I like it.
