Not Goodbye

By daria_lost

My dearest love
It feels as if a lifetime has passed
Since last I saw your face
The hours pass so slowly whenever you are far
The endless constant trickle of the ever passing time

I see your smile nightly, in my inescapable dreams
The memory of your touch fades slowly with the years
As I silently whisper your name
Endlessly calling for you to come back again

I yearn for the minutes spent so softly in your arms
The fleeting gentle breezes that were you
The passion and the agony
The endless desire for you dear

I pass the ever ticking clock
So cruelly it continues to count the time
Since last I saw your face
Since last I hear you say

This is not goodbye
