Your Sorrow Is My Death

By Soldier Of Silence

Looking out across the horizon,
Sifting through my thoughts of you,
My anger boils inside,
Leaving me wounded and bleeding.

My bleeding heart cries for you,
My deepest sympathies reach out,
Caressing your face and soothing,
But only for an instant.

If my heart only had wings,
I’d send it to you,
Like a messenger pigeon,
Full of love and joy.

You need it more than I do,
Little rays of sunshine,
To dry the tears on your face,
And warm your quivering soul.

Come stand by my fire,
And warm your shivering hands,
Wrap yourself in my arms,
I’ll keep you safe.

But don’t take me for granted,
Please don’t abuse my good nature,
Take what you want but remember,
My generosity comes with a price.

Every tear you cry on my shoulder,
Every tear for him,
Kills me a little inside,

………..can you hear me?

…………you’re killing me.
