Collector of the Damned
By Soldier Of Silence
His eyes pierce the soul
Of the helpless victims he is about to slay
Gunblade in hand he deals his death
With a thrust of his arms and a twist of his wrist
A quick squeeze of the trigger
And devastation erupts from the tip of his sword
His rounds impact his opponent mid stride
And sends him shuddering to the ground
Rivers of blood stain the battlefield
Human carnage litters the place
Spent shell casings crunch underfoot
As the warrior treads on
His body quivers in the frigid air
And rain begins to fall
Icy teardrops from the heavens
Descend upon mother earth
An electric current flows through the ground
Sending shivers up his spine
Lightning strikes in the distance
And Thunder claps call him home
***
Breathless from battle
The warrior collapses to his knees
Lungs burning and muscles torn
A deep sorrow fills his heart
Plagued with immortality
His duty to defend the innocent leaves him in solitude
His long lost love
Stolen from his bed 100 years ago
They came in the middle of the night
Guns drawn and torched the place
He watched in agony as they took turns
Raping her and killing the rest
Why he was spared that day
Only the gods above knew
They had a plan for this warrior
Collector of the Damned they had called him
He stood and looked at the world
From the top of his mountain
Melting colors of the deepest blues and purples
Shocking orange and mellow yellows
He shifts his gaze to the stars and closes his eyes
A silent prayer to the blazing diamonds above
And leaps to his death
But he knows he will be back again
They’ll bring him back.
They always do.

I like this as well, very emotional. As I said before all your work is extremely raw. I love it. Keep writing and I'll keep reading.

The name soldier of silence is quite fitting for your poetry content. Yet it is something new to the table and I'm really liking it. Not to mention I love character profiles/psychological profiles and you seem to be quite good at doing both. Great write.
