Displaced Rage

By Soldier Of Silence

Been to hell and back again,
Your words threatening my very existence,
Absorbing your blows,
And rolling with your punches.

Crouched in the shadows of my mind,
Lashing out with jealousy and rage,
Confined by my hate for others,
Who share more time with you.

A disagreement you say,
A battle says I,
Your ammuniton are words,
Bullets feel the same.

My only fault is to love you,
While you spread yourself around,
Emotionally,
To everyone and come home spent.

No love left for me,
You’re tired and drained and useless,
I need more than this,
I deserve it.

My heart has become a frag grenade,
Of pity for myself,
And rage for you,
Because you my love,
Are a social butterfly.

Your only crime in my eyes,
You leave me behind,
While you nurture others,
I’m a selfish soul.

Spread your love,
Retain a drop for me,
My soul is thirsting,
For the love you give to others,
And deny me.

I scream at the top of my lungs,
Love me show me need me,
You fire back,
I do but you can’t see that in your,
Blind,
Displaced rage.

She loves me,
But not the way I want,
I’m the selfish one,
Wake up,
You’re killing yourself.
