questions and contradictions

By darkcoldplace

i sit apon a throne of hate
wearing a crown of love
in a palace of concrete and steel
deep within the kingdom of your heart
were the sun burns cold
and the light deepens the darkness

i contemplate why i am still here
banished from the places i once love
and thought i could never return
but..... what?

a change of heart?
or a vile trap?
do you wish to welcome me?
or see me suffer once more?
do you dance in the tears of the fallen?
or do you wish to reclaim these war torn lands?

i truly do not know
but as always
i will unquestionably heed your call
and offer you everything

This is me too.....always taking him back when he decides to come home. My repeated nightmare that follows me into reality. So familiar. Thank you

It sounds... Like my lover... I put him through hell repeatedly and he still came back to me so many times. Great write. It spoke to me. ~Melodies
