Memories

By darkcoldplace

i go through photos from the past

memories of days long forgotten

beautiful faces of beautiful times

i look through the glass

through the distorted images

of innocence

through the shaddered mirror of my memories

broken in an attempt to hide the past

a past i wish never existed

in the broken glass, i lost the good memories

the keys to salvation

the mirror destroyed in an attempt to hide

to forget to remember the tragedies of my failures

but it only made the ugly, uglier

the foul, became more foul

all the reflections of bad, hide the good

all the happy images raped by horrible ones

thoughts of the innocence of life, of love

gone

until only images of the wretched remain
