Goodnight Sunset, Goodnight my Father

By KuroiBara

You were my hero
You were my best friend
I thought you would be there
I thought you were there to the end.

But you left when I needed you most
You left me when it came to be too hard
You think I could forgive you
But deep within my heart, you know I cannot.

So what I do instead
Is pretend that you don't exist
If you weren't there to begin with,
What would there be to sob about?

So I put you, and your memories
In the incinerator, in the eternal rest....
You won't hear from me again
And I'll be like the wind
One moment, I am here....
The next moment, I am gone without a trace....

So, goodbye my hero....

Goodbye, my best friend....

I know know that you won't be there to the end....

Goodnight, brilliant and happy sunset.....

Goodnight, my father......
