The Core

By Silence

What is this darkness inside of me
Is it the desires of others
Or maybe it's me....

It is the lie told to self
I am not that person
Kind, caring, happy that is me

I do not hide who I am
Caged inside is not a dangerous shadow
I cant see it that way

What you wont see
Is the light of my exterior
Casting over the darkness deep inside of my heart

My soul is not corrupt
My heart is my own
How dare you trying to label it

I am gray in total
Just as any person is
No purity found anywhere

I will watch as the priest succumbs to urges
And as the rapist weeps with sorrow

No matter who you are
You are human bound to certain things
Failure and success
Rise and fall
Live and Die

There is no perfection in anything
Just the gray....
