autumn leaves.
By saudade
i think of you & all of
a sudden
my thoughts
s c a t t e r
like fa
ll
ing
l a e
e v s
(the wind carries you away)
---the sun is in my eyes,
and i swear i will not forget that
though the blanket of leaves
on the ground looks
so warm&inviting
,they are nothing but the
remnants
of dying trees;
a semi-rainbow of redorangeyellowgreen
will not stop the poor leaves
from (witheringfadinggasping)
being
crushed.
& my heart is like an autumn leaf

I love poems that make me see things in a different light. This certainly made me see autumn differently. I loved this piece.
