Wisps of Passion
By Ghost One
A gentle day, as it comes and goes…
Like a gentle breeze or the touch of a rose.
Falling fast towards life’s deepest passions…
Beware the senses and what is old fashioned.
For it can tear you whole and bring great pain…
Leaving you cold and broken once again.
I ache for another. One who might know…
Yet failing the words I wish to show.
Do you take the chance of life’s greatest gift?
Or let it pass by, falling through the rift?
The rift of time and endless chances….
Of boundless thoughts and intimate glances.
Where to go from here? Down a dusty road…
Lost to the tangles of a tyrannical toad.
The one caught in my throat at the sight of another…
Hidden from all by sarcasm’s own brother.
It is a wondrous mystery behind blue eyes…
How I can grow so fond and watch it go by.
Stop the pattern and break free the bonds!
Let loose the passions and strive to press on.
Let go of the worry and erase all the fear…
For you’ll never learn. Always sitting right here.
A revelation at last breaks through the ice…
A jumpstart of courage would be very nice.
I beg to ask one thing for myself…
Yet still find my wish placed on the back shelf.
Let me just once meet someone who can care…
For I offer myself to willingly share.
How to approach the one of my eye…
And stand out above all other guys?
I find myself becoming deeply inspired…
Wondering if, at all, I am actually admired.
Could there be a sparkle there for me?
Or am I seeing only what I wish to see?
Only time will tell the fortunes of all…
As we all walk down life’s grand halls.
**I had the hardest time naming this piece. For the life of me i could
not think of a fitting title... so the current title is basically just
a description of what insipred this short write.
