Little White Picket Fence
By Crush Room
ohhh little humble picket fence
guarding my most prized possessions....
for you, I have longed to symbolise
my domestic bliss.
with your stark white soldiers standing tall
attentive to passersby who admire you....us.
Your demarcation line
defines what lies within...
epitomy of ordered and unpeneterable unity.
You frame us proudly, protectively.
Today I want to burn you down.
I hate what you stand for and for you,
I long no more.
You are an elaborate mask
once revealed....the real you
is a disease-ridden, splintered, decrepid falsity
waiting for a match.
societal expectation?....go to hell.
