Yesterday

By brokenbandagedbetter

Yesterday, fourteen years ago
was the day my dreams came true
You looked up at me with the most amazing hue
Wonderful eyes of blue full of promise, a pellucid view
Yesterday, fourteen years ago
my heart was filled to the brim
Yesterday, I called to sing you a Birthday Hymn
Yesterday it was crushed all thanks to him
Yesterday, fourteen years ago
will forever be my most precious day
I will keep our memories locked up in the most beloved array
Absolutely nothing can ever take them away
Until yesterday becomes today my love
Know this, even if it takes moving earth and heaven above
I will hold you in my heart where you will always fit like a glove

For my beautiful Megan
