Grey

By brainbent

It is complete now, my binds have all been neatly tied.
Just be discrete now, this world might think I’m still alive.
Grin shy and speak now, these fools will leave in course of time.
Let loose the beast now, the wells are dry, you cannot cry.

The grey comes to blot out the day.
The beast speaks,
In his raspy tones of grey.
My heart creaks,
The muffled plea it’s bound to say

It’s all for not. It’s all been lost. Can the pain and crap be worth the cost.

Just go to sleep now, though the waking world is much the same.
Just try to think now, in the chaos that’s become your brain.
Don’t start to bleed now, flayed open in this sea of pain.
Lay at her feet now, melt into that pain and be its’ stain.

The grey comes to fell it’s prey.
The grey comes,
Her hooded cloak so bleak and frayed.
My thoughts shun,
Yet my heart and soul still turn to clay.

It’s all for not. It’s all been lost. Can the pain and crap be worth the cost.
