The Knight you saved my life

By thesuccubusreturns

Crawling through the darkness
Broken hands clinging
To my writhing body
Trying to escape
The consuming obscurity
That chases me
But then there was you
My knight in armour
Protecting the unclean thing
That was me
Cut away skeletal hands
And rotting ropes that bind me
Take this broken body
And tortured soul
And help them fly again.
Drag me from my deep depression
And show me how to smile
Run your hands over my wounds
And heal them with your touch
Kiss my lips and I’ll forget
The horror and pain I felt
The darkness I couldn’t escape
And get lost in the light
That you shine
For me
My Knight

I loved this one. It reminds me of my Goddess, and how she helped me to pick myself up after a great fall.. Beautifully written. :)
