The End and the Beginning
By Berry Fantastic
I didn’t want to become any more entangled in the web of lies I was spinning. So I severed the ensnarement and set my prey free. I watched him fly away from me, and a teardrop rinsed my filthy cheek. But I knew that there were other spiders. What was I doing fooling around with a plaything? I scolded my own cruelty, but she softened my words. She softened my heart. I spin little love notes in my web, to taunt the toys. But deep down in the darkest heart I know. . . I love her.
