Ethereal

By Berry Fantastic

Everything is only what it is now
A cell phone is something on which you can call people, text, or tell time
Socks are something that lay on the floor and which you can wear when your feet are cold or it matches your outfit
Walls are a thing that holds up a roof
And a window is a thing that lets in sunlight
Love is not real
Only romance
For romance is the mere fictitious ideal of love
Birds only fly to find food and shelter
Humans reproduce and give birth to a child
And will the child think these things
For what is thought
And what makes our minds forever tick
Never to be at rest
Never to be peaceful
And we think of death as heaven
But it is eternal life
Perhaps just more distracting
Could one really be happy in heaven
And still think as a human being
Thought would reach a new level
