Endeavor / Definition Love

By ArtemisticSin

Endeavor

Outside, the window
Storms blow and bluster
Inside, this room
You fall and fluster
Doubling back words
Correcting lies
A dirty secret
Quiet cries
Borrowed and betrayed
Avarice and fear
You say that you're sorry
But won't shed a tear
Her memory forgotten
And his only to blame
Think what you've done
Just put her to shame
Faltering, stammering
'It was all a mistake'
'Fuck you and yourself,
You meant what you made'
No one believes me
But they all know the truth
Ghosts coming closer
Break out the noose
And so it's my fault
And so I'm to blame
They and their ignorance
Feel none of my pain
She's gone from me now
Forever more
I can only sit now
And...
Remember Endeavor

Definition Love

And what say you
Is the definition
Of that oh so complicated,
Misjudged,
Misused
Emotion
That has been dubbed
Love

What say you
Of that tormented girl
Sitting in the corner
Raped by the one called love

What say you
Of that pulse inside
Telling you
Oh just what to do,
Oh how to be for her

Just take it all in
Take all the love
That you can hold
Bottle it up
And keep it with you
To keep you company
On those very lonely nights

She walks by you,
And you look
So very quickly
Simply entranced
And who is to blame
But love

And I think though,
You have
Your definitions
Quite confused

This, no this
It is not love
Merely an infatuation
For that passing beauty
Witty girl
Please, save love for later

And so now,
What say you
Is the definition
Of that oh so wonderful feeling
So very troublesome love
The very fiber of your soul
Should ache
With its very mention of loss...
