Sicken Me Again / After Deliberation

By ArtemisticSin

Sicken Me Again

Standing there in pomp and majesty
Sicken me again
Avarice is your game to play
Gluttony, your toy

Dig the earth
Till the land
As it dies beneath your feet
You just can't say when
As skies begin to weep

Burn the flesh, mark the weak
You do as you please
No regrets, torn to shreds
Fall to pieces, drag us down
At your hand, the world will fall
Leave it broken, desecrated
You wonder why, it's all gone
I wonder why, you're so naive

Leeching spawn attached to pain
Profit from the dead
It's all in vain I say
As you shake your head

A tyrant king of enterprise
With people as your pawns
Lives to do your bidding
Without a second pause

Living in laps of luxury
Complain about your diamond shoes
Conform to the 'American dream'
Brainwash all the youth

Do as expected, do what is done
Follow the path, that held your mother's tale
Don't stray 'rebel'
Do as we say
You don't know what's best
With your frugal ways

And you who killed the world
Hope it was worth the wait
Couldn't be delivered with your oil
Upon a silver plate

After Deliberation

On your pedestal
And falling down
I've put you there
Without a sound

And once what was lost
I've yet to find
And all these secrets
Escape my mind

On tracks of metal
And tracks of steel
We've yet to know
What we really feel

Cause you're gone from me
The past is done
And over there
The setting sun

On us and all
Our worn down parts
From kissing games
To lime-lit dark

Sick-sweet incense
And lover's tales
Movie cameos
And haunted details

More yet to name
But I don't dare ask
Why you do this now
In sympathy's mask
