Natural Beauty

By ArtemisticSin

A few nature-ish poems

As Different As Night and Day

The color purple swells around you
An all inclusive flower
Wrapping tendrils into flowing words
A looking glass through which
The visioned world, distorted and foggy
Can be focused into a prism crystal
Faucets blindingly bright, refracted to the mind
Speckled diamonds, encompassed by darkness
The diamonds that dot the star scape
Hesitatingly flashing signals of rescue
Only rescued from the moon
The orb of infinity hanging in the sky
Suspended by invisible strings of insanity
Dripping fluorescent fireflies
Fighting through the night
Armed only with a silver dagger
Morning pierces with a lightning strike
Just to bring color about the hills
The hovering sphere of fury
A frosty rainbow is spread over ground
Warm hues heat the dirt, the earth
And however short lived
This warmth will stay for a spell
Lingering about for a few more moments
Before trading into a cool breeze
Now the fury surrenders, abandoning us
Cold darkness settles around once again

4 Seasons

Cool and crisp air, clear cut sky
Low-lying breezes bring about a chill
And prismed crystals fall
Catching the light so delicately
And so these crystals dissipate
A puddle of once rendered splendor
Quick little showers to keep you company
The air warms even more
And rushes away those puddles too
Dessicating and drying again
Until it's cool and crisp...

Black and Bleak

Darker than the shadows
Brighter than the stars
This black and bleak town
You just can't miss it
The moon, and city glow
Reflecting off an open sky
Throw back your head
Breathe in this cold pattern
Imprinting an icy touch
And you feel it
Clear and fresh
How could you have missed this
This black and bleak town

Contoured and outlined
A whipping wind blows
This black and bleak town
This frozen city
Inked and pale
You'll never look back
The dizzying height
Will stop you dead in your tracks
All inside, just go inside
This black and bleak town
You'll never look back

Simply Bliss

Singing odds and ends of a melody
Forgotten long ago
No words are known
But we all know how it goes
Crashing thunder, pounding hail
Whipping wind, drumming rain
And we sing of beauty's hue
Sweeping fields, oceans blue
Of bright and burning souls
Flaming fires, embers, coals
Colors deep and pure
Bright and bold
So very sure
Clear cut shine
Only all the time
Not of black and white
But of dark and light
Death and life
Days and nights
Starry spotted skies
Clearly seeing eyes
Separating lies
Now say goodbye
The song is done
We're all remiss
For singing it
Was simply bliss
