Nostalgia

By WingMaker1735

Memories of an era past
Surfacing to bring a new perspective,
With an eternal longing,
Is it wrong I would forfeit progress to relive the past?
I knew how things turned out,
But you die to change them,
How is it that I don't feel accomplished when everything is in place?
Is it the love that I have lost?
Or have I lost more?
What if I have lost the person that I was?
I had everything, and lost everyone,
Does all these emotions stem from one situation,
Or am I plagued?
I fear I will forget all of my childhood over time,
Will they dissolve and reality fade?
Times like these I need certainty,
I wait in solitude...
