Mistaken Lust for Gratitude

By Berry Fantastic

Can’t you see he’s taken you
Into the wrong direction
You’ve done enough to comfort him
You’re just stroking his erection

Empathy and kindness
Can only go so far
It won’t be long before you’re
In the backseat of his car

Did you think he’d just say ‘thank you’
And go along his way
Did you hope that he might kiss you
If he had naught to say

After he has touched you
He will not think ‘his mother’s womb’
Mistaken lust for gratitude
May bring you to your tomb

He may shine as brightly
As the sun up in the sky
But he will only blind you
Every time he blinks to cry
