Illusion of Love
By SnowQueen
In this moment, I am beyond naked- I am translucent
You can see blood flow through me like a current
I’ve awaited this moment beginning with your heavenly descent
You’re gazing, smiling, taking in my violet scent
With anyone else, I wouldn’t expect very much
But you set fire to me. Burn me with each touch.
Move your hands through my hair like waves crashing on a shore
My body is smooth terrain, completely your’s to explore
As the phoenix must burn to once again rise
I must experience your sweetness between my thighs
Caught in an embrace beyond profound
Planting our roots tightly in the ground
I don’t ever want to move, I need your controlling.
Each moment of weakness hurts but each thrust is consoling
Forget time, forget space, forget who I really am
I’m lost in your world and I don’t give a damn
I hate love so much, it isn’t real
What is real? Real is what I feel.
What defines such an undefinable word?
If love can be felt, could is be smelt or heard?
Can you wrap love and give it as a present?
Is it always perfect? Is it always pleasant?
I banish the word; it is too complex
What we make is not love it is only sex
Continue to kiss and lick every inch of my skin
My passion isn’t rooted in love, but comes from within
Love is an illusion, an excuse for the world
The rush grows as your magic is unfurled
You are god. We need common ground, not love.
Because I come from below and you come from above
This isn't love, it is purely chemical. Every element is kept within your
heart
The universe itself will crumble into pieces if we ever fell apart

Truly brings out the exact feeling of the act. Perhaps to me it is kind of cold but nevertheless there is heat even in the cold. Good work.

Very poignant poem. I like the rhythm, and I like the way you worded things. Excellent work.

Great metaphors. Sexy and sad and beautiful. You continue to inspire me.
