shards of epilepsy

By Cassandra

spewing holly and rattlesnake tattoos from gouged lips meth traced
anorexia upped to its highest level of sheer devotion and mutilation
manipulated into a manifestation of macabre and horrific details
gruesome stitching split from curtains of torn butterfly wings
starvingly wrapping a tongue encased in a glass box of razors
around a single numb finger littered with stamped memoirs
crushed into pixie dust and the residue of beauty

a dose of schizophrenia would never hurt anybody
not even a victim of psychosis and constant genuflection
regrets of losing transparent memoirs on a black street corner
conflicted with skeletons clutching each others throats
whispering and singing a hymn while contorting legs and ribcages
faces forever trapped behind a graffiti smile to hide the truth
they are your clocks, your mirrors, your disbeliefs, your sins
tied together by beaded memories to each pulsing wrist

spiralling into a fake reality of eternal epileptic seizures
reflections are always choking on each verse they scream
banshees locked away in a clock [tick.tock, tick.tock]
screeching reminders as if they were the Gods of time
yet we possess the ability to pause all around us with a will
but i stopped believing when my mirror finally spoke to me in color
and painted me a pretty picture to hang over my heart
to protect and bind my soul into accidental asphyxiation
while inhaling my rival's final words in careless whispers
carressing deaf ears with unseen delicacy and passion
and i found these words monotonous and unmoving - dead

you told me my [name]
you told me [you loved me]
you told me [you'd always be there]
you told me [you'd die for me]
[.x.x.you promised me.x.x.]

i will never have to worry again.
i will not trust.
i will not believe.
i will not breathe.

never again.

wow.. this is really incredible. it took me a moment to fall into the general rhythm of the piece, but one i realized it i was alright. Incredible discriptions and phrases wrapped in such a way as to stampede you breathlessly to the end of the piece, feeling as though your heart might stop and your mind might never be the same.. then the end comes and completely baffles you, pausing you in your headlong rush, almost as if you were dead. very nice.
