  • ""dreading, the pull of a heart" - interesting closing line. This speaks to me of the duality of being lonely and wanting this to end, but becoming so used to it that when a hand reaches out...there is a recoiling rather than a reciprocation. I think you captured a lot in this piece, but almost all of it in the second stanza. I think as written, the first stanza is not quite as tight as the second, but the second stanza is strong.
