This poem was a prompt to poem suggested by A poetry Facebook page. Write a poem about isolation due to covid-19. I can't help but go dark so I correlated an abuse victim comparing her isolation from him and the social distancing. Idk I think it worked out. "

  • "I feel like this poem is saying its one or the other's fault for each other's self harm/ harmful behaviors. Its a sad piece, and I know personally how true it can feel... However, in case you, the author needs to hear this, you can't take the blame for someone else's self harm/suicide, nor someone else for you. It's so easy to place blame, but mental health is such a finicky and tricky opponent... its hard enough managing our own without taking the blame for someone else's, don't you think?"
